These large plum-shaped fruits are just asking to be cooked. An all-purpose tomato.

1. Original Name: Giant Italian Paste.

2. History: The variety dates back to the early 1900s. Italian farmers do not pick these tomatoes too early as these fruits can stay on the bushes for quite a long time. This variety is also known as Primo, a tomato for a pasta sauce.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. It can produce fruits for a long time. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Thin climbing stems. Droopy regular leaves. Regular truss, 5-6 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: The bush can be trained to 2-3 main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.
