1. Original Name: Dean’s Brad Gates.

2. History: Bred by Dean Slater. Named for well-known tomato breeder Brad Gates (Wild Boar Farms). A recent variety introduced in 2016. We assume that it may still be segregating a little.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Perfect for growing outdoors. Medium-size bush, growing up to 3.3-4 feet (100-120 cm) tall. Thick stem. Potato leaf. Transplants and young plants growing outdoors have decorative light spots on their leaves (variegated foliage). These leaves disappear later when new leaves start growing. There are 10-15 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: It can be trained to three or four main stems, and staking and pruning are a must. No excessive pruning is recommended otherwise it may affect the productivity.

5. Shape and Weight: Round and heart-shaped fruits with more or less distinct pointed tips. Weight: 0.7-1.1 oz. (20-30 g).

6. Color: Yellow stripes decorating the red and orange background. The flesh is red and crimson in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly acidic, a very pleasant taste with a tomato flavor. Firm walls. Juicy flesh.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads and sauces. Also a good choice for canning whole tomatoes.
