PACKAGING: Sachet Zip lock 12 - 15 SEEDS

A very sweet and unusual tomato bred by Tom Wagner.

1. Original Name: Zebra Rita.

2. History: Bred by well-known tomato breeder Tom Wagner (Tater Mater Seeds, USA). He developed this variety in the mid-1990s. In 2008, the variety was named as 'Zebra Rita' after Rita Declercq, who hosted Tom in her home during his journey through Belgium and France, as he had the seeds of this variety with him.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing 6 feet (180 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss (double truss in rare cases). 4-5 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: The bush can be trained to one or two main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Flattened and round fruits of the salad type, sometimes with shallow ribs near the stem end. Weight: 5-9 oz. (150-250 g).

6. Color: Bi-color, with dark green streaks and stripes on the light green background. This background turns to green and orange when fully ripe. Light green in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Great, unique, very sweet taste with a spicy fruit-like flavor. More sweet than famous Green Zebra also bred by Wagner. Glossy flesh, thick walls, very juicy.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for excellent salads! It is recommended to eat them fresh. Also great as a part of interesting salads. Keep well for a few days after harvesting. No cracks on the skin.

Zebra Rita is unique for its being large, exotic and sweet. What else do we need? It has proved to be a stable variety. A heavy cropper.
