Tomato 'Juwel Rozovyi'

1. Original Name: Ювель розовый, or Juwel Rozovyi (Pink Juwel). Also known as Juwel or Juwel Rozovyi Velikan (Pink Giant Juwel).

2. History: An heirloom variety dating back to 1920. According to most of the sources, this variety originates from Canada. It was later brought to the USSR where it was preserved by a Russian family, which has been growing it since 1937.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Indeterminate tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Heavy bush. Resistant to diseases.

4. Training Instructions: It can be trained to one or two main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: The first and second trusses can produce huge fruits weighing up to 17.5 oz. (500 g). If the cluster is shaped it can produce fruits weighing up to 35 oz. (1 kg). Flattened and round fruits.

6. Color: Pink.

7. Flavor Profile: Pleasant sweet taste. The flesh is sugary and juicy in a cut. Tomato flavor.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads and canning as juices and paste.
