1. Original Name: Шахерезада, or Shakherezada (Scheherazade).

2. History: A variety originating from Russia. Entered on the State Register of the Russian Federation in 2007. Developed by Vladimir Dederko and Galina Botyayeva. But this variety appears not to be widespread, so it is a rare marvel for many people as it is so unusual and different from common tomatoes.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. According to many sources, Shakherezada is a semi-determinate tomato growing up to 3.3-5 feet (100-150 cm) tall. But our plants were much taller and indeterminate and they did not stop growing in the upper part as the fruits appeared. Our bushes are tall and grow up to 5-6 feet (150-180 cm) tall when we train them to two or three main stems. The stems, leaves and fruits have a fuzzy texture making this variety decorative. The leaves are long and droopy and are of a silvery green color. This super fuzzy texture of the leaves and stems is just amazing.

4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to train the bush to two or three main stems.

5. Shape and Weight: Large plum-shaped (Roma) fruits. Weight: 5.3-10.6 oz. (150-300 g).

6. Color:
Red.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet with pleasant tartness. Intense tomato flavor. The walls are firm, and the flesh is juicy.

8. Culinary Use:
Perfect for dish decoration. Delicious in fresh salads. A good choice for sun-drying and canning.
