An incredible color combination! The fruits look like toys.

1. Original Name: Russian Cossack.

2. History: Bred by Tom Wagner. One of the parent varieties was a very rare variety bred by Wagner, Bearded Cossack. It was a F4 in 2013. A recent variety.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Short bush, growing 3.3 feet (100-cm) tall. Thin stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 4-5 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: No training is required.

5. Shape and Weight: Beefsteak fruits, sometimes with shallow ribs near the stem end. Weight: 3.5-5.3 oz. (100-150 g).

6. Color: The color is amazing! The fruits are light blue (due to anthocyanin) near the stem end, and the background is pink with green stripes gaining a metal tint. Pink in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly tart, with an exotic spicy flavor. The flesh is buttery and juicy.

8. Culinary Use: A good choice for fresh salads, sauces and juices. The fruits keep for a few days after harvesting.

Russian Cossack is a recent variety so it can have minor variations in rare cases. We assume that sometimes the fruits may have too little anthocyanin. However, our fruits (you can see them in our photo) have an excellent ‘suntan’ and are of a bright color. The fruits must preserve all of their characteristics if the plants receive enough light and moderate heat.
