1. Original Name: Orion’s Belt.
2. History: Bred by Blane Horton (Galactic Magic Seeds). This is a variety from the Cherokee Tiger family developed by Bill Jeffers.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Perfect for growing outdoors. Short bush, determinate, growing up to 1.6-2.3 feet (50-70 cm) tall. Thick stem, rugose regular leaf. The color of the leaves is light-green. There are 3-5 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: This compact bush does not need any pruning or training. It is enough just to tie the longest stems.
5. Shape and Weight: Round and plum-shaped fruits, sometimes with elongated pointed tips. Weight: 2.8-3.5 oz. (80-100 g).
6. Color: Swirls of green stripes on the purple and red background, which later turn metallic and become green and amber-colored. Very beautiful fruits!
7. Flavor Profile: Excellent sweet taste with full harsh aftertaste and a pleasant flavor. The flesh is buttery, juicy and meaty (not dry).
8. Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads and slicing. A good choice for canning whole tomatoes, sun-drying and freezing.
