 1. Original Name: Large Black & Red Boar.

2. History: A variety from the USA. This wonderful variety was discovered by American tomato breeder Brad Gates (California, USA) at his Wild Boar Farms in the 2000s. It was a red colored mutation from his Green Zebra. Stabilized later by Brad Gates and introduced to the Seed Savers 2008 Yearbook by Bill Minkey (Wisconsin, USA) and Neil Lockhart (Illinois, USA) who received their seeds directly from Brad Gates.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall.

4. Training Instructions: It can be trained to two or three main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Beefsteak fruits. Weight: 5.3-14.1 oz. (150-400 g).

6. Color:
The fruits are of unusual and exotic color having distinct green streaks on the chocolate background. Red and green in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Pleasant sweet taste. The flesh is juicy and meaty. Very delicious.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for eating fresh. Very delicious in salads and snacks. A good choice for making paste, ketchup or juices and canning.
