1. Original Name: Emerald.

2. History: An heirloom variety. According to some sources, it was first introduced by Glecklers Seedsmen as early as in the 1950s (in 1950 or in 1956).

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. However, it can mature earlier if you take good care of the plants (proper light, temperature, fertilizers). Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall.

4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to train the bush to two main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Round or beefsteak fruits. Weight: 1-1.7 oz. (30-50 g).

6. Color:
The fruits are of an unusual color being pale green at first and green near the stem end with the bronze upper part when fully ripe. They can also have reddish or brown spots. Green with a tint of red in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Very sweet with some tartness intensifying and improving its taste. It also has a bright and intense exotic flavor.

8. Culinary Use: As a rule, these tomatoes are eaten fresh. Very delicious in salads or side dishes. An unusual dish for your festive table. Also perfect for making full-flavored sauces not resembling any usual tomato ketchup.
