1. Original Name: Coeur de Surpriz.

2. History: Selected from the line of Surpriz by Sebastien Berthier. A French variety.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 4-6 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: The bush can be trained to two or three main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Heart-shaped or round and heart-shaped fruits. Weight: 2.8-5.3 oz. (80-150 g).

6. Color: Very beautiful multicolored fruits. Swirls of dark green, yellow and crimson stripes on the olive-green background. Green in a cut being pink in the middle.

7. Flavor Profile: A balance of a soft sweet taste, a pleasant spicy flavor and a fruity aftertaste. The flesh is sugary and meaty, and the walls are thick.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for salads, thick sauces and paste. A good choice for canning. Keep well for a few days after harvesting.
