1. Original Name: 1884 Yellow Pinkheart.

2. History: A variety from the USA. Developed by Darrell Merrell of The Tomato Man (Oklahoma, USA). Bred from a chance cross between The 1884 tomato and an unknown yellow tomato. First introduced in Seed Savers Yearbook in 2010.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Indeterminate.

4. Training Instructions: This variety is a heavy cropper if you train the bush to two main stems with pruning (the bush will grow up to 5 feet (150 cm) tall then).

5. Shape and Weight: Beefsteak or slightly ribbed fruits. Average weight: 10.6 oz. (300 g). However, the weight of the fruits can be up to 28 oz. (800 g) provided the plant is trained.

6. Color: A lot of large light yellow (ivory yellow) fruits. The fruits can have pink marbling in the upper part or in the flesh in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: A very intense taste being sweet and refreshing and having a fruit-like and tomato flavor and a lemon-like aftertaste. The flesh is meaty and juicy.

8. Culinary Use: A universal variety.
