These ribbed and meaty pear-shaped pink tomatoes will come as a surprise to you!

1. Original Name: Zapotec.

2. History: A family heirloom from the Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca, Mexico. Named after this Indian tribe. In the old times, this variety used to be cultivated by the Indian tribe in a dry mountainous area.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for growing outdoors but a heavy cropper when growing in a greenhouse. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing 6 feet (180 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 4-5 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: The Zapotec variety can be trained to one or two main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.
