Tomato 'Woolly Kate Red'

1. Original Name: Woolly Kate Red.

2. History: A rare variety bred by well-known tomato breeder Tom Wagner (USA). A red segregation of Woolly Kate.

3. Plant Specifications: Late-season. Determinate short sprawling bush with sparse foliage, growing up to 2.3 feet (70 cm) tall. All stems, leaves and fruits have a fuzzy texture and are smooth to the touch. The stems and leaves look slate-gray because of their fuzzy texture.

4. Training Instructions: No pruning is required.

5. Shape and Weight: Round fruits. Weight: 1.8-2.5 oz. (50-70 g).

6. Color: The fruits are blue and purple at the mature-green stage and are black near the stem end when fully ripe being dark red in the upper part. Red in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet with pleasant tartness intensifying its taste. Fruity flavor. The flesh is juicy and buttery, and the walls are firm.
