Tomato 'Reisetomate'

1. Original Name: Reisetomate (which means 'traveler’s tomato' in German). Also known as Voyage.

2. History: An heirloom variety originating from Central America (Guatemala) where the native people used to carry such tomatoes on trips. Later this variety became popular in Germany.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. A good choice for growing outdoors but it is recommended to grow it in a greenhouse.

4. Training Instructions: The bush can be trained to two or three main stems. Staking is required.

5. Shape and Weight: The shape of the fruits is exotic and unusual. You can tear it apart a piece at a time and there will be no juice. Weight: 3.5-5.3 oz. (100-150 g).

6. Color: Bright red.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet with a tomato flavor. The flesh is juicy.
