A very delicious and unusual tomato variety of an unpredictable color.

1. Original Name: Wild Thyme GWR. Also known as GWR Wild Thyme or Wild Thyme. The abbreviation (GWR) stands for Green When Ripe.

2. History: Bred by tomato breeder Bill Jeffers (USA).

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Medium-size bush, indeterminate, growing 4-5 feet (120-160 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular but large leaf. Regular truss, 3-4 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: Wild Thyme GWR can be trained to 2-7 main stems. The number of stems can differ and it is not necessary to use our experience. Everything depends on the height of your stakes. If you grow these tomatoes in a greenhouse, you can train the bush to two or three main stems.

If you grow them as a medium-size bush, it is recommended to simply let it grow, select several stems (based on the way your bush is growing) being most thick and firm, and tie them to the horizontal support structure. It is necessary to remove any extra suckers.

5. Shape and Weight: Flattened and round oblate fruits of the salad type. Weight: 7-17.5 oz. (200-500 g). The large fruits are most beautiful.

6. Color: A chameleon variety. As the fruits ripe, the color changes. The fruits are green at the mature-green stage. But when they ripe they get yellow and green, dark red or brown spots. The overripe fruits are almost entirely brown. But they are tasty when they are rather green. It is recommended for your fruits to stay on the bush until they become soft and green with some brown spots. They are multi-color (green, yellow and pink) in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: An exquisite tomato. Full-flavored with an outstanding flavor, sweet and slightly acidic. Fruit-like and spicy flavor. The flesh is buttery and juicy. It is rather a kiwi fruit than a tomato!

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for very delicious salads and sauces or paste. Do not keep well as the fruits can become too soft and there can be cracks on the skin after the rain.

Wild Thyme GWR has proved to be a stable variety. It produced a lot of large fruits of an unusual color. Seize the moment to eat them in time as they are very tasty!
