Its young stems feel like chamois leather to the touch. An early-season variety with the fruits that are perfect for canning and can keep well for a long time.

1. Original Name: Geranium Kiss.

2. History: The origin of this variety is unknown. First introduced in the Seed Savers Yearbook by Alan Kapuler in 2008.

3. Plant Specifications: Early maturity. Suitable for growing in large containers or planters. Also a good choice for growing outdoors or in a greenhouse (made of agrotextile or film). Determinate, short bush, growing up to 2.6 feet (80 cm) tall. The bushes are sprawling. Thin stems with a slightly fuzzy texture feeling like chamois leather or velvet to the touch. Potato leaves often curling upward. Double truss, 20-30 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: It is important to tie the main stem at first and to tie the suckers as they grow. Staking is required otherwise bush can fall because of heavy clusters and fruits.

5. Shape and Weight: Round and smooth fruits with small pointed tips in the upper part. Weight: 0.7-1.1 oz. (20-30 g).

6. Color: Bright red. Bright red in a cut as well.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly tart. Quite pleasant for an early-season variety. Intense tomato flavor. The flesh is firm, and the walls are almost crisp. There is a lot of juice.

8. Culinary Use: A good choice for eating fresh or making salads. Also a good choice for canning whole tomatoes. The fruits keep well for over one week after harvesting. Crack-resistant.

Geranium Kiss is a stable variety. Its beautiful double trusses resemble red geranium flowers.
