1. Original Name: Copperhead.

2. History: Developed by tomato breeder Blane Horton in about 2010. A variety from the same line that gave Pit Viper and Aftershock.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. It can produce fruits for a long time. A good choice for growing both in a greenhouse and outdoors. Tidy dwarf bush, growing 3.3-4 feet (100-120 cm) tall. Thick and firm stem. Beautiful dark green rugose regular leaves.

4. Training Instructions: No training is required. It is enough just to tie the stems. You will have about 4-8 firm stems on each bush without training but these stems are upright and it is convenient to tie them. No pruning is necessary.

5. Shape and Weight: Slightly flattened beefsteak fruits, sometimes with shallow ribs near the stem end. Weight: 2.1-3.5 oz. (60-100 g).

6. Color: The fruits are greenish at the mature-green stage and later mature to red and brown or, to be more exact, become copper-colored. There is a green crown-shaped spot near the stem end. However, it is not hard as this is a particular feature of this variety. The flesh is emerald-green in a cut and looks like real emeralds. A very beautiful and intense color.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly acidic, very juicy with a spicy and fruity flavor. The flesh is buttery. Very delicious!

8. Culinary Use: A universal variety. A good choice for full-flavored salads, juices, sauces and canning.

Copperhead has proved to be a stable variety. However, Blane Horton said that he had bushes with striped fruits from a different line. All of our fruits were of regular color. A heavy cropper!
