PACKAGING: Zip lock 12 - 15 SEEDS

1. Original Name: Deep Space.

2. History: This variety is not distributed and is present only on a French website where we purchased the seeds. The website specifies that this variety originates from the United States. Most probably, it was named after Deep Space, a technology demonstration spacecraft launched by NASA in 1998.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Tall bush, indeterminate, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Firm stem, regular leaf. Long regular or double trusses.

4. Training Instructions: It can be trained to two or three main stems, and staking and pruning are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Pepper-shaped fruits, often with ribs and with a pit on the non-stem end or a pointed tip. Weight: 2.8-4.2 oz. (80-120 g).

6. Color: Pure brown color. The fruits may have greenish spots near the stem end being typical of this variety but they have no effect on the taste. The flesh is of a lighter color with a tint of pink in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Deep Space is a rather firm and thick-walled variety with dry sugary flesh. The seed cavities are small and often have voids. There is almost no juice. The taste is sweetish and rather flavorless. But there is one catch!

8. Culinary Use: This very variety is perfect for canning. When you take them out of a can they remain whole and do not get soft, and their skin does not crack. Ideal for both freezing or sun-drying! They can also be sliced for pizza or stuffed. A uniquely beautiful variety with firm fruits that keep well.
