1. Original Name: Currant Sweet Pea.

2. History: A variety originating from the Netherlands. A 'currant' variety of wild tomatoes. This 'micro-tomato' was selected by Dutch tomato breeder Kees Sahin.

3. Plant Specifications: One of the smallest tomatoes. This variety got its name not only because the fruits look like large currant berries. The leaves also smell a bit like those of currants. The diameter of the fruits is up to 0.07 oz. (2 cm) and they are super-sweet tasting like candies. This is a rare exotic variety to decorate your open or enclosed balcony, summer house or garden. Mid-season. Hanging bush with a lot of branches and thin knotted stems. The stems can grow up to 16.4 feet (5 m) tall if you take care of the plants. Perfect for growing outdoors.

4. Training Instructions: If you grow these tomatoes outdoors, it is recommended to tie the plant and train it to three or four main stems because this is more convenient for harvesting. If you grow them in baskets, there is no need in training or pruning as the stems should be hanging.

5. Shape and Weight: neat and average-sized clusters produce very small fruits weighing 0.07-0.1 oz. (2-3 g) and having the diameter of 0.4 in. (1 cm).

6. Color: Red with the unripe fruits having a tint of green and turquoise, which is very decorative.

7. Flavor Profile: This tomato has an excellent taste being very sweet with a fruity flavor.

8. Culinary Use: A good choice for canning, freezing or eating fresh. Kids love these tomatoes very much!
