Very beautiful fruits looking like a gift to your special one!

1. Original Name: Crushed Heart.

2. History: A new variety bred by famous tomato breeder Brad Gates (USA).

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. It can produce fruits for a long time. A good choice for growing outdoors but a heavy cropper when growing in a greenhouse. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing 5-6 feet (150-180 cm) tall. Thin climbing stems. Droopy regular leaves. Regular truss, 4-6 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to train the bush to two main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: The fruits are of a unique shape being heart-shaped. They are wide near the stem and may have shallow ribs in very rare cases. There are thin pointed or flat tips in the upper part so the fruits look like real hearts. Weight: 5.3-7 oz. (150-200 g).

6. Color: Bright colors. Swirls of green and later yellow and orange stripes and streaks on the crimson background. The fruits are gray and blue (due to anthocyanin) near the stem end when exposed to the sun. The flesh is pink in a cut.

7. Flavor Profile: Soft and pleasant taste being moderately sweet. Bright and spicy tomato aroma. The flesh is buttery and meaty, and the walls are thick. The fruits are juicy enough.

8. Culinary Use: A universal variety. Perfect both for canning and salads. A good choice for making paste and juices. Do not keep well after harvesting as the fruits get soft but with no cracks on the skin.
This is a recent variety so there may be certain variations in rare cases such as no anthocyanin due to major changes in temperatures. However, the fruits are very beautiful. The plants can produce fruits until a frost.

A lot of fruits grow with no anthocyanin. However, we collect the seeds from the fruits of the right color. If you want this variety to be stable you should collect the seeds from the fruits with black anthocyanin stripes.
