PACKAGING: Sachet Zip lock 12 - 15 SEEDS

A rare variety having the best flavor when growing on saline soils.

1. Original Name: Camone.

2. History: Initially developed by a Swiss agricultural company aiming to develop a prolific and stable variety. In the 1980s, they began growing these tomatoes in Sardinia planting them almost in sand and watering them with salty sea water. This process was long but Sardinia has soft winters so the fruits managed to get ripe and had an unusual taste and texture.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season or middle-late. It is recommended to grow the plants in a greenhouse. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 6.5 feet (200 cm) tall. Thin stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 5-6 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: This variety is a heavy cropper if you train the plant to two or three main stems Pruning and staking are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Smooth round fruits. Weight: 1.8-3.5 oz. (50-100 g).

6. Color: Tri-color fruits. Like many gourmet tomatoes, the fruits have a green spot near the stem end. The remaining part of the fruits is red and orange. The fruits get ripe from the inside out.

7. Flavor Profile: A very delicious tomato even if you grow these plants on different soils in Ukraine. Sweet and slightly acidic, very flavorful. However, this variety has a particular flavor when the plants grow on saline soils near the sea coast. When growing in such conditions, this tomato has a combination of a sweet and slightly salty taste and a very bright flavor. The flesh is buttery, sugary and juicy enough, and the walls are firm and crisp.

8. Culinary Use: The plants can produce fruits for a long time so the fruits can keep well or can stay on the bush in a greenhouse for a long time. A good choice both for canning and for eating fresh.
A very unusual and rare stable variety. It is one of the varieties that became well-known due to their growing on saline soils.
