1. Original Name: Beaverlodge Slicer.

2. History: A variety from Canada. Developed as an extra-early maturing variety at the Beaverlodge Research Center in Alberta (Canada).

3. Plant Specifications: Early-season. A good choice for growing outdoors but it is suitable for greenhouses as well. Determinate short bush, growing up to 2.3 feet (70 cm) tall. Thin stem, slightly round regular leaves. Regular truss, 3-5 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: No pruning is required but it is recommended to tie all of the longest stems.

5. Shape and Weight: Smooth and round or sometimes beefsteak fruits. Weight: 1.8-2.8 oz. (50-80 g). You can also grow fruits weighing up to 3.5 oz. (100 g).

6. Color: The fruits are light green and translucent at the mature-green stage. They turn bright red when fully ripe. The flesh is of a deep red and crimson color.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and acidic but quite pleasant. Intense tomato flavor. The flesh is juicy and buttery.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for early fresh salads, juices, sauces and canning.
