1. Original Name: Loxton Lad.

2. History: Bred by the Dwarf Tomato Project in 2009. A cross between Rosella Purple and Orange Heirloom by Patrina Nuske Small. Loxton is the town in the riverland citrus growing region in South Australia.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for growing outdoors and in a greenhouse. Determinate, short bush, growing up to 2.6 feet (80 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 3-4 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: No pruning or training is required. However, it is recommended to tie all of the longest stems.

5. Shape and Weight: Beefsteak fruits, often with shallow ribs near the stem end. Weight: 3.5-7 oz. (100-200 g).

6. Color:
Light orange. A 'blush' in the form of slightly red spots may appear on the fruits when fully ripe.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly tart with pleasant tartness. Tomato flavor. The flesh is juicy and meaty enough.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads, juices, sauces and canning.
