Tomato 'Indigo Sun'

2. History: Developed by P&R Seeds (Peter and Ruth Mes) in 2010.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. A good choice for a greenhouse and outdoors. Indeterminate, tall bush, growing up to 8.2 feet (250 cm) tall. Thin stem, regular leaf. Tidy regular trusses with up to 8 fruits per truss.

4. Training Instructions: The bush can be trained to three or four main stems. Pruning and staking are a must.

5. Shape and Weight: Round fruits. Weight: 0.9-1 oz. (25-30 g).

6. Color: The fruits are sunny yellow later maturing to lilac and dark blue in the shoulders near the stem end when exposed to the sun. They are very bright and attractive and look like a necklace with jewels hanging on a bush.

7. Flavor Profile: A bright and well-balanced taste being sweet and slightly acidic. A fruity tomato flavor. Very juicy but crack-resistant.

8. Culinary Use: Perfect for canning whole tomatoes, fresh salads, snacks or dish decoration.
