1. Original Name: Babylon’s Glow.2. History: Bred by tomato breeder Blane Horton (Galactic Magic Seeds, USA). Released as F8 in 2018. A recent variety.
3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Growing outdoors. Short bush, determinate, growing up to 2.6 feet (80 cm) tall. Thick stem, regular leaf. Regular truss, 3-5 fruits per truss.
4. Training Instructions: No training or pruning is required. However, it is recommended to tie all long stems.
5. Shape and Weight: Round plum-shaped (Roma) fruits with less distinct pointed tips or round fruits. Weight: 3.5-9 oz. (100-250 g).
6. Color: Terra-cotta, ocher-yellow or orange and green with distinct green stripes. The color of the flesh is ocher yellow, which is very unusual.
7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and slightly tart, well-balanced. A fruity tomato flavor. The flesh is very meaty and buttery. There are few seeds.
8. Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads, canning whole tomatoes and unusual tasty sauces.
