Pepper 'Yellow Monster'

2. History: Unknown. Originating from the USA.

3. Plant Specifications: Late season. Suitable for growing in a greenhouse and outdoors. Sprawling short plant, growing 1.6-2 feet (50-60 cm) tall.

4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to tie the longest stems so that they do not break because of heavy fruits.

5. Shape and Weight: Cube-shaped or mostly elongated and cube-shaped fruits with distinct uneven lobes. The fruits can be up to 0.7 foot (20 cm) long and their diameter can be up to 0.3 foot (10 cm) near the stem. Weight: 8.8-14 oz. (250-400 g) but not 35 oz. (1 kg) as other sources claim showing yellow silicle-shaped peppers of the Ramiro type. Yellow Monster is a giant pepper but it has a lot of voids due to having few seeds. Its size is great but the most appropriate weight of these peppers grown in Ukraine (or neighboring countries) is 10.6 oz. (300 g) without any special care.

6. Color: The fruits are green at the mature-green stage. They turn to bright yellow but can still have green marbling when fully ripe. This makes it unique!

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet, juicy, crisp and flavorful. The walls are thick being about 0.16-0.2 in. (4-5 mm) thick.

8. Culinary Use: You can admire its look but you can also slice it for a salad. A good choice for canning for winter or general canning. You can also stuff it and bake it in an oven slicing and eating it then. You also need to look at summer pictures of your peppers when eating them.
