1. Original Name: Aconcagua.

2. History: This outstanding and wonderful variety is an old heirloom variety originating from Argentina. Named after Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Andes mountain range and in South America in general.

3. Plant Specifications: Mid-season. Suitable for growing in a greenhouse and outdoors. Medium-size plant, growing 1.6-2.6 feet (50-80 cm) tall.

4. Training Instructions: It is recommended to tie the longest stems so that they do not break because of heavy fruits. The entire bush can bend or fall down on soft soil after heavy rains.

5. Shape and Weight: Elongated and cylindrical fruits with two or three uneven and curved ribs. Weight: 5.3-6 oz. (150-170 g). The fruits can grow up to 1 foot (30 cm) long.

6. Color: The fruits are green at the mature-green stage. They turn bright red when fully ripe.

7. Flavor Profile: Sweet and very juicy. It differs from other long-fruited varieties in the thickness of the walls. This variety can be compared to the Gogosari pepper with its walls being up to 0.2 in. (5 mm) thick because its walls are just as thick.

8. Culinary Use: A good choice for fresh salads, canning, vinegar pickling, freezing and stuffing. Perfect for making paprika and grilling.
